On June 6, 1944, countless brave men gave the ultimate sacrifice on a Normandy beach.   

John Joseph Pinder Jr. was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his valor that day.

Pinder died while attempting to establish radio communications on Omaha Beach.   His efforts prevailed - radio communications were ultimately established that morning.
